I wil tell you one thing...After last night, Lapierre has a huge target on him and I bet you that next time they plays the B's, they will WANT him. If Lucic gets a chance, it would be lights out. It was truely a gutless act.
BTW, watching L'antichambre, nobody was pro Latendresse...NOBODY. The guy is useless.
I actually think Lapierre deserves to be in teh NHL...has great speed and decent hands...he will have to win me back as a fan though.

Yeah yeah, Lapierre is a jerk and a wimp. It's true. But he performs a key function, and any team would like to have him on their 4th line, trust me. 2nd line is a ridiculous stretch.

I'm not sure if I could say the same about Latendresse though. What exactly does this guy provide at this point?

Totally agree...at least Laps provides something. Every team needs an agitator. Lats has good enough hands but can't skate. He just go to the net and stay there. He plays softer than Laps. Laps is the guy crashing around in the crease at least.

Also, will Laps/Lats always have to hold hands on the ice to get anything out of them? They should be split up.

Didn't Lucic get Lapierre last year in the playoffs & get suspended for his troubles maybe that was
why The Bruins were targeting him last night - For last year's playoff stuff........

targeted him because he's a pest, rat, mole whatever you want to call him..he needs not to drop the gloves everytime he's challenged (he'd be sore) ..he does need too the odd time when its someone from a divisional rival who is roughly same size and not a great fighter..

No big Lapierre fan here guys, but whats all the Hullabaloo, Lapierre doesn't fight Ference- who cares, we won, Ference doesn't give any energy to the Bruins who were down 1-0 at that point. Whats the point in giving the Bruins anything to feed off....if Lapierre fights Ference and Bruins take away something to rally around from it and score, this board would be in an unroar. We won, yahoo....Maguire would have been all over Lapierre if he had fought saying it was a bad decision by him. Re-call Komi refusing to fight Moen in the opener. Maguire praised Komi saying it was a smart move..yeah right Maguire----you are a knob..your bias against the Habs is obvious.

McGuire has made a career out of being "Mr. After the Fact" - listen to him after something happens he'll describe why it happened in words like he predicted it. And when he describes something that happened and the replay shows it didn't happen, he's got this patter down where he twists it around to where he was sort of right - eg if McGuire says there was a high stick and the player just got away with one and the replay shows there was no high stick - he'll start screaminng "good job by referre Dick Stripe - everybody in the place thought there was just a high stick - again excellent job by referree Dick Stripe!"

I love how Mcguire will say to his broadcast partner "Do you agree that" with something pretty
obivious although on occasion the partner will disagree & he will start petty argument/discussion
on air about his point when the game should be the main point. On NBC in the past he liked taking
shots at Mike Milbury during the game when Milbury is not there on air to defend himself..........

Wow, we found 1 guy out of 20 who agrees with Laps here.
