D'Agostini: Dominant in his brief stint in the AHL. In the NHL, was willing to do the dirty work to be an opportunistic goal scorer, making him almost a favourite son in Montreal, but needs to improve defensively.

Maxwell: Has a nose for the net and was willing to mix it up in the AHL. Given his age, it was a suprise to see him in the NHL at all this year, but with his play in the minors, earned the opportunity. Wasn't productive in the NHL, but didn't necessarily look out of place.

Pacioretty: Given that he was in college last year, it's even more impressive that he appeared in the NHL at all this year. "Pacioretty isn't burning out any bulbs in the professional rinks, but he has shown flashes of the power forward promise that the club has so obviously cherished". He will get a long look next year just because of his size, grit, and potential.

Stewart: I like the last sentence the best: "Stewart's physical presence was a welcome addition to the NHL roster and filled the rather large void left by Laraque's combination of injury and ineffectiveness."

Weber: passable in the NHL, but really shone in the AHL. He could have an impact in the NHL as early as next year.

Give it up Travelling friend, they just dont have any talent anywhere, yes these kids are good but will never make any difference at all. Pacioretty is the only one who might be a top 6 forward

You don't have to be a top 6 to make an impact. Lapierre had a bigger positive impact than Plekanec this year for example. Stewart and Weber I think will also make an impact, as long as they are not rushed into the NHL.

Disagree. Throw those guys on a team where teaching and system are paramount and D'Agostini gets 25 goals and displays solid two-way play, Pacioretty uses his body better and scores 20 in his rookie season, Higgins becomes a great two-way player, Stewart a convincing 4th liner who doesn't space out on his assignments, Sergei and Andrei are a thousand times more consistent and disciplined, and the team plays as a 5-man unit.

I agree Plouf. Young players need f---. I played for Claude Julien and I can tell you that when you do something wrong or have an off night, he lets you know and tries to help you improve. I can remember one time in particular that I let the d-man I was covering sneak in and score near the end of a game. Right after the game, Claude met with me 1-on-1 to tell me what I did wrong.

I'm guessing coaches like Babcock and Boudreau also provide consistent f---. Our young players need guidance.

Are you suggesting that Michael Jackson be our coach?

I will admit that it is fun to try and figure out what these mystery f words are...
