The Ottawa Sun is suggesting that the Habs are inquiring about Ryan Smyth. I can't it happenening, Smyth has a no trade clause. Before anyone gets too excited, the Ottawa Sun is also suggesting that Michael Ryder is being shopped. So, as always, take it with a grain of salt.

The Mop and Pail, sorry, Globe and Mail, is reporting that the Oilers and Blue Jackets are interested in Kovalev.

I find the news on Smyth very interesting. I did see that On TSN and he would be some good Grit on our lineup. But would he come this way? not much left in his tank.
