A team that is looking to change things up. I heard a rumour today - both Kostits bros for Ray Whitney.

What do you guys think?

Well, it makes us both smaller AND older so for Gainey it's a WIN/WIN

If A.K wasn't signed next year already I'd probably say no way..I like Whitney but hes another small forward..he plays well when complimented with a set of big guys around him..I'd rather get Scott Walker from them instead..but ultimately this is a deal that will save the Habs cap room next year..which in my opinion is a step in the right direction..and Whitney at this present time is twice the forward Kost's is.

 You're one funny man Cleggy!

But it's so true that it shouldn't be funny  !

This would be a terrible trade and wouldn't improve us at all. I'd rather see little Stits called up and this would bring better play out of big Stits...more so than the little over the hill Whitney would provide. Got to do better than that BG! We need size. Too bad Lats hasn't turned into that guy by now. I guess we can't count on that either.

I'll probably get dumped on for this but I hope BG only trades little Stits. I'd hate to see two drafts being traded at their least value. It'll be a trade BG loses out on. I think there is hope for big Stits even without his brother. If he knew his brother was playing somewhere in the NHL, I think he'd feel good about it and get his focus. Big Stits can stay on the fourth line for now and I'd be OKay with it. The way Martin Coaches, he'd reward him for good play with more minutes anyway.

If it became an either /or situation I'd actually prefer to keep Little Stits - he's an emotional volcano - you can work with that.

I'm definitely against dumping them for nothing - if they traded for Whitney rather than just sign Shanny, I'd be ticked.

Whitney is too old to give players up for - he is only worth a mid round draft pick
when healthy also heard he got hurt (not sure what the injury is) & out for mininum 3 weeks......
