Last night I was watching Hockey Central and they mentioned that Bob Gainey is looking for a Centre to fill the hole left by Lang...Then they said the Jokinen could be back in play.

So my question is, if the asking price was too steep before are we desperate enough to go back to the table? if so why not go one step bigger with Vinny?

Jokinen may be available. The team is about to be sold, so they may be looking to dump some salary. I haven't seen or heard a thing about him this year, how is he doing?
I guess the difference is TB may try to hold Lecavalier for a small fortune from Gainey. I think GM's dealing with Gainey are going to be dealing from a position of strength, since Gainey's needs will seem somewhat more mandatory. If the Habs can put together some decent efforts and results, maybe they can bargain from some strength.

Jokinen has been sub par this year...not a good year at all compared to past seasons. 34points in 50 games - he scored that many goals alone each of the last few years.

I would still like to see him in a Habs inform. Seems gritty to me.

We have had subpar people leave and become very productive look at Ryder. So when we say I have second thoughts cause hes not doing well, maybe the player needs a change of scenery just my opinion Go for Jokinen

I think we need this guy today! He is a round peg and we have a round hole.

Flames will have to dump salary as they are very close (or over) the Cap. Good possibility a third team is involved here. Will be interesting to see who Calgary is willing to trade.

Seen that...With Leopold to boot... Shall we wait and watch! Man I hoped this years trade deadline would have been a little more active than last years. Hopefully it is not a Mark Recchi blockbuster return for the only movement.

Jokinen seems to have had an instant impact on the Flames. They are leading Phi 4-0 (in Philly) at the end of the 1st. and Olli has at least 2 points.
