Especially great:
vs. Colorado, Leafs battle back to get to 2-1 with a PP goal.
Immediately afterwards Komisarek takes a dumb penalty. On the ensuing power play Svatos turns Beauchemin inside out on a fairly harmless looking rush. Laff discard Darcy *ucker puts home the rebound.
Funny, I heard on the radio a caller was asked what the Leafs need to do to get a win, he said tell Komisarek to stop taking dumb penalties. Just brought back memories of frustration when he was a Hab doing the same thing. Glad he's gone, so not worth the money they gave him. Like I said before, Markov made him look better in Montreal, he's not getting that support in Bud land.
I believe Komisarek has taken 9 minors & the the opposition has scored on five of them a pretty good PP percentage so if The Leafs can't do The PK & their goalies do not improve considerablely that Kessel trade could be a lottery first rounder for The Bruins unfortuately for the rest of the league..........
In fairness, you can growl at Komi for getting penalties, but if the Laffs had any PK at all, he would be lauded for physical play.
The Laffs' problems are deeper than Komisarek's play.
Big IF concerning Leafs PK - last year I think they had the worse PK in The NHL along with the most goals allowed in the league & Wilson who takes pride in the defensive game coming over from San Jose & Washington where that was a team's strong point - It's a good thing for Wilson he gets big bucks & a long term contract - Coaches have been fired for less........
