I read Brodeur's book recently and at the time of the signing he had no problem with the contract as he was hoping by taking a discount he would leave some extra money to sign other players but what happened he got divorced with a big payout and then lost a year salary plus 24% roll back on the contract due to the lockout so things did not go according to plan but he does his own contracts so he does not have to pay an agent any fees.....

But is he losing his edge? That's two straight playoffs he's had some bad moments that killed his team. Those two late goals vs. Carolina didn't look good. How much fight does he have at this point? Not that I'd bet against him.
