Boy...puts this thread into perspective huh!!???????
...a place for And-o to wipe his feet!!!
And-o, you hit the bottom of the barrel a numer of times with some of your comments about Koivu but this time you went below. For some reason you do not like Saku. You are entitled to your opinion of him but please don't try to refute facts. Facts are facts and your comments about Koivu are pathetic and without class. Are you really an Habs fan?
Nice to see my current favourite player in the all-time top 10 Hab scorers. There are big names now behind him. But it's a long hike to the Boomer at #9................ I hope he makes it!

If Sak signs a 3 yr deal, he could catch #9 and possibly #8.
When does he become the longest serving captain of Les Glorieux? Is it at the end of this year?

With three years he has a shot, with four he would be virtually guaranteed number 9, and from there 8 isn't far off. It's probably a safe bet that no matter what, number 7, Jacques Lemaire, is safe.

Safe bet indeed.
It just occurred to me that every player ahead of Saku on that list (and several behind him) are in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

#11 cracking the all-time top ten...
An unexpected rise into the top 10. Battling a severe knee injury, cancer, almost losing an eye and still able to make it into an illustrious group of former Habs.

The Canadiens are well represented by Saku Koivu.
You know...this is not meant as a "wash it in" moment to the anti-Koivuer's....
But really, the statistics speak volumes. Koivu truly is one of the hab all time greats.

Nor should it be. Even the anti-Koivu bunch have to give Saku props for joining such a great group of Habs all time greats. I mean they are Habs fans afterall.
