Just to clarify for me Mario, I have always put up the link, credited the source and copied the article inside a quote. Even with all of that, no more articles? Not being a smart a$$, I just want to be sure.

Another clarification is that sometimes Fatherhab, others, and myself translate an article from a french source in it's entirety while giving the source. Is that ok or still a no go?

Going back to university rules, if you directly quote more than 10% of a work, it is plagiarism and infringes on copyright, not matter how much credit you give. Not sure if that's the same here. Summing it up though and putting a link would most likely be ok if I understand correctly

No article. Period.
All else (i.e. title, link, source, author's name) is fine.
But no article.
Over the years several organizations threatened legal action against me.

I would say until which they try to sue me for that too, if you are translating, then that's fine but do reference the title, author, and the source, and the link.

I am of course kidding and I shall adhere to your rules.lol
I can honestly say that in all my years of forum lurking and browsing that I have never heard of something like this.
Posting articles is a time honored tradition on internet forums.
I can see their point because they want the traffic... but i think if you post the link with the article I cant see how they can complain.
Technically you can only quote 10% of an article without permission (although you still have to give the source, link, and author), so they are on solid legal grounds, but I get your point, it seems a little pedantic to go surfing forums for copyright infringement.

If you consider the decline in print journalism, these news outlets will depend on web based traffic to sell advertising. At work I have low/high speed (at the end of the loop, slower modem, etc) and it takes forever to load some pages for the ads. The visit counter is $ to them (and, if I remember correctly, for Mario as well).
