I just Googled this guy, and I honestly feel a little better about our future grit/toughness/size outlook. The information I found about Conboy makes him sound tough and extremely physical. Apparently he loves going in front of the net (which we desperately need) and claims he would do anything for his team. I like that...

Conboy is going to Michigan State next season.

His USHL team the Omaha Lancers won the league championship.

Hockeysfuture has him rated as a 5B, meaning he has a pretty good shot at becoming a 4th line player in the NHL, but will almost certainly go no further.

Fine by me. Let us not underestimate the importance of having 4th liners who can play 8-10 minutes per game and provide energy and enthusiasm. He sounds like a guy who will go out and hit everything that has a pulse, and fight if need be. Assuming he has some hockey sense, he could end up being a good penalty killer too because it sounds like he is willing to block shots.

He's been suspended by his team for the rest of the season for attacking an opponent at the end of a game. Google it for more details.

Yeah Michigan State suspended him for the rest of the season. Now he just signed with Hamilton.

Not a bad result from leaving college eh...

Conboy signs a 3-year deal with the Canadiens.

As per TSN.ca
