Chipchura on fire in the AHL playoffs, currently their best player and leading the team in goals.
Hope we see more of the upbeat, hard-working, smart and tough Chipchura we saw in his callup last year.
I wonder if his linemate, Ryan Russell, will be given a shot at making the team? Although I've never seen Russell play, I hear he's a speedy defensive forward with some offensive upside, and great on the PK. Maybe like a PJ Axelsson or a Chris Kelly? After watching the Lapierre line run around like headless chickens and accomplish absolutely nothing in the playoffs, I'm dying for us to develop some 3rd/4th line forward who actually have hockey sense, and Chipchura and Russell would fit that bill.

What players were sent down to Hamilton if any, I wonder if D'Agostini can be sent down, I believe the Bulldogs have to send a playoff roster in, one month before the playoffs and I don't think he was on it. Also he may have played too many games and can't be sent down

According to theahl.com Stewart and Weber were sent down. I guess that means Dags gets to golf?
And just to keep on thread, Chipchura is one of 3 Bulldogs, along with Ben Maxwell and Ryan White, to have 3 goals in 4 games in the playoffs. Time will tell if he is too slow for the NHL, but the guy obviously has something going for him.
Sorry my travelin friend, again another prospect who just hasn't got enough to make it the bigs. If he does maybe a 4th liner or press boxer.
I don't actually think that he will make it. I think he will end up being one of those guys who is a star in the AHL, but not good enough for the NHL. Still, he obviously has something, and I have been wrong before, so I am hoping...

Two seasons ago Chipchura was only sent down because he was losing his faceoffs. He was pretty good. This year he took a step back. But ability doesn't vanish into thin air and Chipchura is still pretty young. I'm looking for guys like him, Sergei, O'Byrne, etc... to pull it together with a clean slate.
